Legal.ie is a new service launched by the litigation department at O’Dowd Solicitors. Available at www.legal.ie it provides a the same traditional values of a law firm, but in a wholly online setting. We can provide online consultations, collaborative workspaces and simply straightforward communications.

Like many businesses we are adapting how we do business in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of this we are improving our online offering. You can now give us full instructions on the preparation of your will from your laptop/tablet or mobile phone.

Covid 19 (Coronavirus)

For the duration of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) emergency the offices of O’Dowd Solicitors will remain open for business. Business will however be subject to the following constraints:

  • The switchboard will only be operational from 10am – 12.30pm each day from the 30th March until further notice. Outside of these hours a voicemail or email should be left. Solicitors may also be contacted on their direct dial numbers and/or mobiles. The firms email address info@odowd.ie will be monitored during usual business hours, and the online form can also be used to request  a call back.

Online payments

To facilitate our clients, particularly those who do not wish to travel at this point in time we have now implemented an online payments system. This can be accessed here: https://www.odowd.ie/payment/. Over the coming days and weeks we will add to our services available online so that we can continue to offer services to clients during these times.

What is Data Protection (and who cares about the GDPR)

Practically all of us are now aware that the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) will come in to full force and effect on 25th May 2018. This Regulation builds and expands upon the current Data Protection regime which has been enforced in Ireland for a number of decades.
